Question:

Find the value of I for this circuit shown in below image.

Solution:

Here, to get the correct solution of the question first we need to collect given data from the question, so first collect the given data.

Here we have,

Two voltage source V1 and V2

• V1 = 20V and V2 = 10V

One Resistor Parallel with V1 and V2

• R = 5 ohm 

So here we need to find current across the 5 ohm resistor. ( I = ? )

Here we get solution by using loop or mesh analysis because here we have two loops in given circuit with two voltage source and one resistor parallel with both the voltage source.

• I = I1 + I2
•   = ( V1 + V2 ) / R
•   = ( 20 + 10 ) / 5
•   = 30 / 5
• I = 6 A

So here we get the current in 5 ohm resistor I = 6 A
